A few weeks ago, our President, Kim Stewart, had the privilege of attending the Civic Action Project presentations at Gates School featuring 8th and 10th grade students. The Civic Action Project challenges students to identify real issues facing their community, research possible solutions, and develop plans to create meaningful change.
Through this process, students learn that their voices can make a difference and that civic engagement starts close to home.
Their creativity and commitment to improving Scituate serve as a powerful reminder that the next generation is already finding ways to make a positive impact.
Thank you to the students, teachers, and mentors who make this program possible. We look forward to seeing how these ideas continue to grow and shape our community for years to come. ✨
