The Library system is now offline through Wednesday, June 17. Please do not return items until Thursday, June 18, when we will be able to check them in.

You must bring your library card (or screenshot from the STELLA app) to borrow items, with a strict limit of 5 items per card. We cannot issue or update any library cards.

Museum passes, Chromebooks, and hotspots will not be available. Holds cannot be placed. The catalog will not be updated, but if you are looking for a specific title, you can call ahead so we can check the shelves.

Do you want to learn how to play mah-jongg but don't know where to start? Join us for a night to learn this game of skill and luck. There will be two sessions to choose from on Wednesday evening 6/24 and 7/15.

Registration is required due to limited space, with priority for Scotch Plains Library card holders.

The Asbury Park Public Library will be joining STELLA, our library consortium, as the 43rd member next week!

Please note that in preparation, Scotch Plains (and all STELLA libraries) will need to run a temporary offline system between June 15 and June 17. Multiple services will be temporarily suspended.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF MEETING LOCATION

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Scotch Plains Public Library Board of Trustees meeting originally scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 7:00 pm to be held at the Scotch Plains Public Library, has been changed.

NEW LOCATION: The meeting will now be held at Scotch Plains Town Hall, Room 202, located at 430 Park Avenue, Scotch Plains, NJ.

The date and time of the meeting remain the same: Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 7:00 pm.

This notice is given pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, P.L. 1975. Official action may be taken.
