Secret Staff Spirit Week — Recap! 🎉
Last week TMS staff held a secret spirit week to see if students noticed our quirky outfits. 😄 Here’s what we wore:
* Tuesday: Dress like a student 🎒
* Wednesday: Concert T-shirt 🎸
* Thursday: Dress like Dr. Holloway or Dr. Esposito 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️
* Friday: Anything but a cup ☕🚫

🎓 2025-2026 L.E.A.D. Graduation
Huge congratulations to our 5th Grade Students for completing their L.E.A.D. training! Special thanks to Sgt. Rites and Sgt. Gitto 👮‍♂️👮‍♂️ for teaching our students how to handle peer pressure and understand the risks of illegal drugs. 🌟

🎶 The excitement was electric as our 5th graders awaited the opening procession of Stars War performed by the Terrill 6 Band.

A big shout out to Caroline R. who assisted me in cutting and editing this reel to get the freshest content out to our followers.

The ceremony continued with L.E.A.D. awards for the best essay and poster from each class. 🎉 A special shoutout to Evan O., the grand winner, who received a pair of AirPods 4! A big thank you to our local Scotch Plains business for their generous support. While not everyone received an Apple product, every graduate took home a commemorative L.E.A.D. T-shirt. We wrapped up the event with a slideshow video showcasing their amazing L.E.A.D. activities.

Heat and Rain held for the annual Boys v. Girls game
Last Thursday at Shimme Wexler Field, SPF Girls 7-Team and 8-Team defeated their respective Boys teams in the annual Boys v. Girls SPF Lax Night. I just happened by chance that the 8-Girls team won with a score 7-6. It was so nice to see so many families and students in attendance. The night was even more special with a guest visitor, Mr. Yap (Library Media Center) came out to support both teams. Please come out and cheer your youth sports programs.

🎉 Memorial Day in Scotch Plains and Fanwood! 🇺🇸
While it’s often seen as the unofficial start of summer, let’s take a moment to thank our veterans and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice protecting our freedoms serving in our United States Armed Forces. Both Fanwood and Scotch Plains will honor the heroes lost in battle during their own ceremonies.
UPDATE: Memorial Day Parade is Canceled, but both Fanwood and Scotch Plains ceremonies will still be held.

Last Tuesday, our Spanish 8 students from Señora Emmanuel and Señora Iannini visited Noches de Colombia in Elizabeth, NJ. With over 30 locations across NY & NJ, they served delicious Colombian comfort food — Arroz Amarillo, Plátanos Maduros Fritos, Carne Salteada, and for dessert, Tres Leches 🍚🍌🥩🍰
A memorable experience for our 8th graders — great food and great memories despite the weather! ☔️❤️
