Since 1966, the Airmen of the 60th Air Mobility Wing at Travis Air Force Base have helped connect our nation to the world by delivering people, equipment and critical resources wherever the mission demands.

To every Airman, past and present, who has served at Travis AFB: thank you for your service and for the mark you’ve left on this storied wing.

This is how we build warfighters. We push ourselves, learn from each other, and sharpen the skills that keep airlift moving when our nation needs it most.

Proud of the Airmen of Team McChord and the leaders who continue to build a force that is ready to deliver, defend, and win.

Keep pushing. Keep training. Keep taking care of each other.

Military spouses bring exceptional talent, adaptability, and determination to our Air Force communities. By connecting incoming spouses with career resources, professional networks, and federal employment opportunities early in the permanent change of station process, the Global Military Spouse Connection program supports stronger families and a more ready force.

I am grateful for spouses like Giana Vandenberg, who are using this program to pursue their career goals and help reduce the disruption that often accompanies a PCS.

Investing in spouse employment is an investment in family stability, retention, and readiness. Thank you, Giana, for representing the resilience of military spouses, and thank you to the Travis team for creating meaningful opportunities for our families.

Outstanding work by the men and women of the 60th Logistics Readiness Squadron!

In 18th Air Force, our mission is to project, connect, maneuver, and sustain the Joint Force across the globe—and none of that happens without the combat capability delivered by our logistics professionals.

Taking home six 2025 Director of Logistics Annual Awards across AMC and Headquarters Air Force levels is proof positive of your innovation, dedication, and teamwork.

Congratulations to each of the individual and team award winners across the 60th LRS and the 60th Air Mobility Wing. Thank you for setting the standard and keeping our mobility enterprise ready today and prepared for tomorrow.

I am incredibly proud of the Airmen at the 62d Airlift Wing for pioneering the very first Small Unmanned Aircraft System training program for C-17 inspections in Air Mobility Command.

Our mission demands rapid global mobility, and achieving that requires us to keep our aircraft ready, safe, and flying. Integrating the sUAS into routine operations reduces a process that once took hours down to roughly 40 minutes. Great work Team!

Whether it is opening austere airfields, streamlining agile communications, or refining expeditionary Command and Control, our forces must operate as one cohesive team. The 515th Air Mobility Operations Wing's visit to Travis Air Force Base provided Airmen with an opportunity to observe contingency response operations, compare tactics and equipment.

Rapid Global Mobility does not happen in silos. It takes total enterprise synchronization to project, connect, and maneuver the force at speed and scale. Proud to see our 515th AMOW building a shared capability with our teammates.

25 years later, the spirit of unity, courage, and service that emerged from September 11 remains a defining part of who we are.

Let us remember the victims, the first responders who ran toward danger without hesitation, and the service members who stepped forward to defend our nation in the years that followed.

May we never forget their sacrifice, the resilience shown in our darkest hour, and the unity that brought us together.

Today and every day, we remember the lives lost on September 11, honor the heroes who answered the call, and stand ready to protect the nation they left in our care.
