It is with heavy hearts that the 126th Medical Group shares the passing of our beloved colleague and friend, Colonel (Dr.) Eric T. Vaughn.

Col. Vaughn gave years of distinguished service to the Illinois Air National Guard and the 126 MDG family, serving as Chief of Aerospace Medicine and Illinois State Air Surgeon. His dedication to his fellow Airmen never wavered.

To those of us fortunate enough to serve alongside him, Col. Vaughn was more than a physician and officer — he was a mentor, a healer, and a trusted friend. His legacy of compassion and selfless service will be felt in this unit for years to come.
We ask our 126 MDG family and the broader military community to join us in lifting up Col. Vaughn’s family and loved ones in prayer during this difficult time.
