There are no renewals for video games. Active duty personnel, retirees, National Guard and AF Reserves, and contract employees working on Scott AFB may use the library. Services include a copier, scanner, typewriter, conference room, auditorium use, and study tables. The computer lab provides 11 computers with CAC-card accessibility. The Base Auditorium (formerly known as the Base Theater) is available for official functions and can be reserved by calling 618-256-5100. Children's storytime meets twice weekly during the school year. We offer a themed program with stories and crafts on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:30 am. Our popular summer reading program is designed for all ages. Preregistration begins in late May and the program lasts for all of June and July. The adult book discussion group meets once a month at 6:30 pm to discuss topical literature and current bestsellers. Meetings are typically on the second Tuesday of the month. Reference and research materials are available in periodicals, Professional Military Education collections, and research databases such as EBSCOhost, Infotrac, and Proquest. Visit or call the library to learn more about online access to ebooks and e-audiobooks through Libby and Hoopla as well as access to thousands of other resources including (but not limited to) Mango Languages, Learning Express, research/study resources, and databases useful for homeschooling.
