Free Pre-K programs are available throughout Lackawanna County to help prepare incoming Kindergarten students for success in the classroom.

Many programs offer opportunities for 3- and 4-year-old children to learn, grow, and build important early learning skills through engaging activities and experiences. Income guidelines apply, and children must turn 3 years old by September 1 and not be age-eligible for their school district's Kindergarten program to qualify.

The Class of 2026 took a walk down memory lane yesterday as they donned their caps and gowns and returned to where their educational journeys began. 💙❤️🎓

Our seniors had the opportunity to walk the halls of Mayfield Elementary and Scott Elementary one last time, greeted by smiles, cheers, high-fives, and the admiration of younger students who looked up to them. It was a meaningful reminder of how far they've come and the bright futures that await them.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! Once a student in these hallways, always part of the Lakeland family!

A donation for non-fiction books was presented to Mayfield Campus Third Grade teachers by Gerard Geoffroy in memory of the late Anne Geoffroy, a former third-grade teacher at Mayfield. This donation was facilitated by Mary Ann Cappiello and Erika Dawes using their presentation honorarium from the Keystone State Literacy Association.

Thank you so much to the Lackawanna Heritage Valley National and State Heritage Area for offering this FREE field trip opportunity to our fourth graders. We had such a great day back in May. We hope to continue this field trip in the future.
