Tonight East Pulaski had a special promotion and new hire ceremony. Kyle Runyon has been promoted to Asst. Chief. He has been on our department for 2 years, a Captain on North Pulaski Fire Department and is the head of Pulaski County Tanker Task Force - Arkansas. East Pulaski is honored to have such a knowledgeable, dedicated and all round great guy to hold this position.

Enough about him, let's talk about the star of tonight's show. Tonight East Pulaski welcomed a new special addition to the family. We are pleased to announce our first ever fire dog, Sizzle. Sizzle is a 6 week old purebred Dalmatian. She will be going into training very soon to start her process of becoming a certified Therapy Dog. Sizzle will not only be running calls with us, but she will be a huge part of our outreach program. She will be attending many events with us throughout the year, going to schools, hopefully hospitals among many other things. She will also be available if other departments need her, if she is available. We have huge plans in the works for her and we feel she is going to be an outstanding addition to our department and community. Please help us in welcoming Miss Sizzle!

Training last night, we had a scenario of a hunter that was injured. We had Scott Fire Protection District #8 and thermal drone up helping locate the patient. Once located, UTV1 and ATV1 went out in the woods and loaded the patient on the stokes basket, and hauled them out on The side by side.
Thanks Scott FD for bringing their drone out and playing with us.

Around 5:45 this morning, we were dispatched to a residential fire in McAlmont Fire Department district. E1 was first onscene and began fire attack. Sq1 (chief) arrived and assumed command. Once mcalmont E1 arrived, they caught the hydrant right across the street. E2 arrived and made interior with mcalmont E1. Units completed primary and secondary searches with nothing found. Fire damage was contained to a detached shed, and 1 room of the house, however there was smoke and water damage throughout. All units in service. Thank you to North Little Rock Fire Department E7, BC1, and E10, who assisted with overhaul.
