🚨 Tropical Storm Arthur Update🚨

The City of Scott has been actively preparing for the anticipated impacts of Tropical Storm Arthur. Our public works crews have checked and triple-checked all detention ponds, coulees, and roadside ditches throughout the city. Any identified blockages have been cleared, and debris has been removed to ensure proper drainage.

In addition, all detention ponds have been inspected for available water storage capacity and appear more than capable of handling the projected rainfall associated with this storm.

For residents wishing to take additional precautions, sand and bags will be available for self-service beginning at noon today at 118 Lions Club Road. Please bring your own shovel and manpower for loading.

As always, we encourage everyone to stay weather aware, secure loose outdoor items, and never attempt to drive through high water. Turn around, don't drown.

The City of Scott will continue to monitor conditions closely and provide updates as needed.
