We want to thank our first responders, street crew, borough staff, council, and volunteers who are all working hard to help our community.

We are very appreciative of Republic for providing the borough clean up dumpsters for the community. They also donated lunch to the crews and staff on Monday.

Mark, of Mount Pleasant Fox’s for donating lunch yesterday for staff and crews.

Alexanders Pizza for helping with dinner for the police the night of the storm.

We want to thank Stockton tree service who’s taking care of our borough properties and trying to help get brush picked up along the curbs.

Uptegraff for supplying us with a volunteer team to help our residents as well! You gentlemen have been such a blessing to this community.

So much has been accomplished already but there's still so much more to go for so many.

Just a friendly reminder that Stockton is trying to pick up brush by the curbs, not trunks and logs.

The wonderful crews of volunteers are beginning to have to get back to their regularly scheduled jobs and customers. Due to the sheer volume of residents needing help, there is a chance that they may not be able to help everyone.

They have very generously been able to help so many residents and we are very grateful for the time and money that they've given to the community.

If you are someone who will need assistance at that time we will try and connect you with any other volunteers that may step in.

Again, thank you to everyone who has continued to pull together to help their neighbors. You've done so well at showing this area what an amazing community you are.

Tomorrow, June 11 at 9am at the Rite Aide parking lot the Westmoreland county food bank will be doing an emergency food distribution.

Please arrive at 9am and enter the parking lot from the Par Mar side of the parking lot. Follow the directions of our parking attendants.

They have a limited supply to hand out tomorrow. There is a chance that not everyone will receive something.

There will only be enough supplies for one box/family.

We're asking that only families within the Southmoreland School District attend.

If you are currently receiving snap benefits you are able to apply to get replacement food for what was lost during the power outage. Please be sure to contact your case worker or go online to fill out the form to get that process started. Time is of the essence. You only have 10 days after the storm to file the claim. Info is attached to this post.

There was an error in Republics list of streets on the flier. They unintentionally listed some alleys for garbage pickup.

There is currently no alley pickup in the borough. Please place garbage cans on the front curb starting this week.

We are sorry for any inconvenience or confusion that this has caused.
