SUMMER'S CIRCUS
Scotts Valley Library's summer reading program closed out the year with a fabulous, funny, energetic performance by the Circus of Smiles. It was our best turnout yet, with 230 in the audience. About 170 dropped by the library after the performance for a reception provided by the Friends of the Scotts Valley Library.

MEET THE ARTISTS @ SCOTTS VALLEY LIBRARY THIS SATURDAY
This summer, the Scotts Valley Library is filled with beautiful landscape paintings by local artists Donna Thompson and Evelyn Drew. Donna paints in chalk pastel; Evelyn works with acrylic. Their colorful landscapes bring a lovely summer breeze to our branch.

Donna & Evelyn’s work will be on display until September 25. Meet them this Saturday, July 11 from 2:00-4:00pm at a special reception in the Fireside Room. Light refreshments will be served. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Scotts Valley Library.

Looking for reading material this summer? Come check out the Friends Lobby Sale shelf in the library. Hang a left as soon as you walk in the door. Books are somewhat sorted by genre. There's even a cart full of children's/middle grade/YA books.
