Scotts Valley, located amidst the area's dramatic redwood forests in the western region of the Santa Cruz Mountains, is a small suburban community with a proud link to the past. Once a stagecoach stop between San Jose and Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley’s deep history goes back more than 150 years. Today, it serves as a vacation spot for both leisure and business travelers.

New Court Hours – Pilot Program

New court hours are being implemented as part of a pilot program to help reduce impacts on the surrounding neighborhood while continuing to provide reasonable access for tennis and pickleball players.

Post pilot program surveys will be made available to Skypark residents and courts users November 13th.
Discussion of the court hours pilot program will take place at the Parks and Recreation Commission meeting on December 17 @ 6pm at City Hall.

Scotts Valley Drive/Mt. Hermon Road Improvements Project Update

Construction crews are making great progress as the Scotts Valley Drive/Mt. Hermon Road Improvements Project moves toward completion. New roadway striping is being installed along Scotts Valley Drive and Mt. Hermon Road, with this phase of work expected to wrap up soon.

Ongoing Work Until Project Completion:
Utility adjustments will continue along Scotts Valley Drive through project completion. This work involves heavy equipment and may be loud and disruptive at times. Residents and businesses near the work areas are encouraged to plan accordingly and use caution when traveling through active construction zones.

Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation as we complete the final stages of this important roadway improvement project!

Upcoming Weekend Work – Utility Adjustments

To help minimize impacts to schools and weekday traffic, construction crews will be performing utility adjustments this Saturday, August 8, within the designated red work zones. This work is necessary to properly align utility features with the new roadway surface and ensure the long-term quality of the improvements.

Residents and businesses near the work areas should be aware that utility adjustment activities may involve heavy equipment and can be loud and disruptive at times. Please plan accordingly and use caution when traveling through active construction areas.

We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we continue making progress on the Scotts Valley Drive/Mt. Hermon Road Improvements Project.
