All of our offices (The Real Estate Office, Tags & Titles, Mapping & Appraisal) are now located in the Jackson County Courthouse Annex at 205 Liberty Lane, Scottsboro.
We are open 8 AM to 4 PM Monday thru Friday.

As the year draws to a close, we remind you that tax bills were due on October 1st, 2025. However, a grace period extends the payment deadline through December 31st. Our office will operate on a half-day schedule on Christmas Eve and will reopen on January 5th at the New Courthouse Annex. To encourage timely payment, penalties will be waived for payments made on January 5th. Conveniently, payments can be made online at www.jacksoncountyal.gov or by mailing to PO Box 307, Scottsboro, AL. All payments postmarked by January 5th will not be penalized.

In our tag renewal notices that were mailed for October renewals, the incorrect flyer was inserted by our mail vendor. The correct flyer is below.
Our offices will be moving to the Jackson County Courthouse Annex located on Liberty Lane in January, but we are currently still open for business in the Jackson County Courthouse.

Just another reminder if you have not paid your Jackson County Property tax yet the deadline is approaching. Real and Business Personal Property Taxes are due on October 1st of each year with a three-month grace period to pay without any penalties. Our Real Estate Supervisor Teresa McCrary and Assistant Supervisor Shannon Gaddis were recognized and awarded certificates at the last Jackson County Commission meeting for 25 years of service.
These ladies have served our office and the county well and we greatly appreciate all of the hard work they have done through the years.
