This Labor Day, we want to take a moment to recognize and appreciate the hardworking employees who make up the Scottsboro WSG team. From the office to the field, our team works year-round to keep our community’s essential services running.

In honor of Labor Day, our office will be closed on Monday, September 7th. We’ll be back and ready to assist you bright and early on Tuesday, September 8th, at 8:00 a.m.

Congratulations to the dedicated employees of our Water Department who were recognized at the Alabama Water & Pollution Control Association Awards Ceremony this year.

Our North Sauty Water Treatment Plant was awarded Best Operated Water Plant in its classification, and our Water Department received the Best Water Distribution Award in its category. We are proud to receive these honors and commend our team members for their hard work and commitment.

Bradley Chandler also won the Bolton-Crockett-Beck Award for Dedicated Service to AWPCA and Outstanding Accomplishment in the Water Pollution Industry.

Congratulations to our Gas Department on being a 2026 Gold Soar Award Winner. APGA's System Operational Achievement Recognition (SOAR) program honors those public natural gas systems that have achieved excellence in the operation of their natural gas utility. This is such a prestigious honor and we are proud of our employees and all of their hard work!
