Thank you to Dus Rogers and Lil Noble from MOAA for stopping by the CAC and allowing us to share the CAC model and how we keep our process child-centered. We loved showing how our multi-disciplinary team works together so children only have to tell their story one time, helping make an incredibly difficult experience a little easier for them.

We are so grateful to MOAA for the generous donation! Community support is what allows us to continue providing our services free of charge to children and families.

Thank you, MOAA for investing in our mission and the children we serve! ๐Ÿ’™

โญ๏ธ Little Tips, Big Impact โญ๏ธ

๐ŸŽ’ School is back, and so are all the conversations, emotions, and experiences that come with it.

Sometimes โ€œfineโ€ doesnโ€™t mean everything is okay. It may simply mean your child doesnโ€™t know how to open the conversation yet.

Instead of the usual โ€œHow was school?โ€ try asking:

๐Ÿ’™ What made you laugh today?
๐Ÿ’™ Who did you sit with at lunch?
๐Ÿ’™ What was the hardest part of your day?
๐Ÿ’™ Did anything surprise you today?

The right question can turn a one-word answer into a meaningful conversation.

As the Jackson County Childrenโ€™s Advocacy Center, we know how important it is for children to have safe, trusted adults they can talk to. Our children donโ€™t always need us to fix what happened, they need to know weโ€™re willing to listen.

Be curious. Be present. Be their safe place.

Yesterday, we were honored to receive a donation from the HTPG Superhero 5K and we are beyond grateful for their generosity and support of the Jackson County Childrenโ€™s Advocacy Center.

Thank you to HTPG for organizing this event! Thank you to every sponsor, volunteer, runner, walker, and supporter who made this day possible. Every registration, every sponsorship, door prizes, and every step taken helped make a difference in the lives of children and families in our community.

It truly takes a community to protect children, and we are thankful to be surrounded by one that cares so deeply.

From all of us at Jackson County CAC, thank you for helping bring hope and healing to the children we serve. ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ’™ This week is National Forensic Interviewers Week, and weโ€™re proud to celebrate the incredible forensic interviewers at the Jackson County Childrenโ€™s Advocacy Center.

They provide a safe, child-friendly space where children can share their stories with compassion and patience during some of the hardest moments of their lives. Their work is vital to both the healing process and the investigative team, always keeping the childโ€™s well-being at the center.

We are so thankful for their unwavering dedication to the children and families we serve. Because of them, hope and healing begin here.

Join us in thanking these amazing professionals for the difference they make every single day. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆ‹

More free time often means more time online. Whether children are gaming, messaging friends, scrolling social media, or exploring new apps, summer can bring new digital experiences and new challenges.

One of the most important things adults can do is create an environment where children feel safe asking for help.

If something online feels uncomfortable, confusing, or concerning, children should know they can come to a safe adult without fear of judgment or punishment.

Because digital safety is not just about technology. It's about trust, communication, and knowing where to turn when something doesn't feel right. Read more about digital safety in latest blog at bit.ly/D2L2026SummerSafety.
