Dear Wildcat Family,

We need your help. Members of the Brownwood faculty are making a small book about the history of Brownwood. They have sought out information from numerous community members and we at the Central Office have provided information from our old Board meeting minutes to try to tie it all together. There are a couple of areas that we are in need of and would like to seek out the assistance of our community. These are the areas that we hope someone out there can help us with:

1) A picture of Mr. Orris Lee, the first principal at Brownwood (1961)
2) Pictures of the actual Brownwood School during the years 1961-1980
3) Pictures of the Brownwood School during construction
4) Pictures of the pre-1960 land that Brownwood sits on prior to the beginning of construction

Please read the following and try to attend on of the community meetings.....

Dear Wildcat Family,

One of the first endeavors as your Superintendent has been to do a thorough study of our current and historical student population and its effects on our system. Over the past two months, we have gathered a great deal of data and would like to take the opportunity to share that data with you. Furthermore, we would like to share how that data plays into our future as a Wildcat Family and the educational, extracurricular, and athletic opportunities that we are able to provide to our students. At this time, I have set up three community meetings for parents and members of our community who are interested in being a part of moving our system forward in a positive direction. Those meetings will be held on the following dates:

Monday, December the 11th at 6:00 p.m. at the Page Administrative Building auditorium.

Thursday, December the 14th at 6:00 p.m. at the small auditorium at SHS.

Monday, December the 18th at 6:00 p.m. at the Collins auditorium.

I look forward to the opportunity to present to you on one of these dates and value the feedback that we will derive from our time together. The presentation will last approximately 30-45 minutes with a question and answer session to follow. I hope to see you there as we attempt to accomplish great things for our students.
