✅ ROAD REOPENED ✅

Scottsburg Road is now OPEN to all traffic.

The roadway has been cleared, utility repairs have been completed, and it is safe for normal travel.

The Scottsburg Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank all of our responding personnel, VDOT, utility crews, law enforcement, and everyone who assisted in safely clearing the roadway and restoring power. We also appreciate the patience and cooperation of our residents and motorists throughout the closure.

Thank you for respecting the road closure and allowing crews the space they needed to safely complete their work.

Please continue to drive with caution, as some crews may still be working in the area.

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE 🚧

Scottsburg Road will remain closed until sometime tomorrow, Sunday, July 19, 2026, due to extensive storm damage and ongoing utility repairs.

Please do NOT drive around or move any barricades. The road has been closed for your safety. There are downed power lines, damaged utility poles, heavy equipment, and utility crews actively working in the area. Driving around barricades not only puts your life at risk, but also endangers first responders and utility personnel working to restore power and reopen the roadway.

Barricades are in place for a reason. Anyone bypassing them is placing themselves and others in unnecessary danger.

Please continue to use alternate routes and allow utility crews the space they need to safely complete repairs.

⚠️ Road Closure Notice ⚠️

South Terrys Bridge Road at Scottsburg Road , Scottsburg Rd from the Post Office to the Fire Department is currently closed due to downed power lines and a fallen tree blocking the roadway.

Emergency personnel are on scene, and the roadway is expected to remain closed for an extended period while repairs and cleanup are completed.

Please avoid the area, use an alternate route, and do not drive around road closure signs or barricades.

We will provide updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
