Axon’s front group “Better Together” is taking lying to the next level.

I never voted for 2,350 apartments. But Solange Whitehead has voted for 4,500+ apartments — including Axon’s massive 1,900-unit project. Whitehead also voted to waive Axon’s water requirements, cancel the 26,000-signature resident referendum, and accept a $5,000 donation from an Axon executive.

The project Axon is accusing me of rezoning — One Scottsdale — was rezoned in 2002 and 2016. Last week, the Council unanimously voted to downzone the project footprint by 1.5 million square feet in exchange for 350 for-sale condominiums.

These ads are a desperate push to elect candidates who will rubber-stamp Axon's likely request to balloon their campus from 1,200 to 2,500 apartments or more. If Axon locks in four loyal votes on Council, they'll never hear “no” again.

These attacks are the price of standing with residents instead of deep-pocketed special interests.

Did you know Axon's original apartment proposal in Scottsdale called for 2,500 units? 🏢🏢🏢

It dropped to 1,900, then 1,200—And Solange Whitehead voted for both.

Here’s the reality: if Axon’s executives can defeat those of us standing in their way, they can simply file another application and push it right back up to 2,500 units or more.

Is that why their front groups are blanketing Scottsdale with lies about me?

Axon has officially entered the Scottsdale City Council race. 💵💵

"Better Together"—an Axon front group—has begun flooding the airwaves with attacks on frontrunners Bob Littlefield, Michelle Ugenti-Rita, and me—the only candidates who stood up to their massive apartment project and continue to oppose their goal to turn Scottsdale into a city that "surpasses Seattle."

They have unlimited resources and will use them to elect rubber-stamp loyalists.

Unlike other Valley cities, Scottsdale is not raising property taxes on residents.🏡

As a CPA who puts taxpayers first, I’m proud that my colleagues unanimously voted to reject the automatic hike.

Thanks to City Manager Greg Caton and his team for finding efficiencies and optimizing spending, the City Council was able to provide relief to local families facing high gas prices and inflation headwinds.

I appreciate my colleagues standing with our residents.🏜️

I called out how some candidates are using fear-based messaging to scare up votes on the water issue.

And I highlighted my record of exposing cost overruns, stopping harmful ideology, and voting against thousands of resident-opposed apartments—including Axon’s massive 1,900-unit project. 🔍🏜️

In 2019 when Councilwoman Solange Whitehead took office, our roads were rated an excellent 80 out of 100. After six years of diverting road maintenance funds to ideological ventures, cost overruns, and pet projects, that rating cratered to a dismal 63.🔻

Thankfully, the conservative majority reversed course in January 2025 by tripling the road maintenance budget and slashing deferred maintenance. Now, City Manager Greg Caton has launched Scottsdale’s Interactive Pavement Preservation Map so residents can easily track current projects and the 10-year plan.🛣️⛏️

The quality of our roads matters to visitors who fuel our tourism industry and to the quality of life for our residents. Check the map and see the progress for yourself.🏜️
