Currently studying Law and Psychology at the University of Arizona, Julianna was selected for the prestigious Boren Scholarship.

🇧🇷 Through this incredible opportunity, Julianna traveled to Brazil to work and study abroad, combining her academic interests with a meaningful connection to her Brazilian heritage.

Congratulations to Leah P., 12th grade, and Alexander T., 11th grade, for representing BASIS Washington, D.C. at “The Power of Possibility: Celebrating Excellence Across DC Schools,” part of the Advanced Placement School Honor Roll Recognition Ceremony hosted by the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE).

BASIS Washington, D.C. was recognized on the 2025 AP School Honor Roll with AP Honor Roll Platinum Distinction and the AP Access Award, and our students showcased outstanding AP coursework during the student panel and gallery walk—highlighting the access, rigor, and college-going culture that define our school.

🎉 Congratulations to BASIS Ahwatukee's Leah K. on her incredible artistic achievements!

With guidance and support from her art teacher, Ms. Sonia Payan, Leah showcased her work at the Congressional Art Competition, where she earned the Best of Mixed Media & Collage award for her stunning piece, “Citizen.”

🎨This impressive artwork combines printmaking and collage techniques to create a truly memorable mixed media composition. Even more exciting, “Citizen” has also been accepted into Mesa Community College’s Annual High School Exhibition!

We are so proud of Leah’s creativity, talent, and dedication, and we cannot wait to see where her artistic journey takes her next!

🌎🐉 What an unforgettable weekend for the BASIS Pflugerville Digitron Dragons at the First Lego League World Championship in Houston!

The Dragons delivered their best robot game performance of the season on the world stage and proudly ranked 49th out of 160 international teams! 🏆🔥
