On Monday, June 1, the Salt River Education Board recognized two of its board members, Henry Osif and Dr. Heaven Sepulveda, for their outstanding service on the Education Board. Kyland King, Education Board Chair, presented Henry Osif with a colorful wool Pendleton blanket, as a token of appreciation. Mr. Osif served on the Education Board from September 2015 until June 2026. Dr. Heaven Sepulveda was presented with a beautiful crystal award. Dr. Sepulveda served on the Education Board from August 2018 until February 2026. She is now the Early Childhood Education Center Leader. Thank you, Henry Osif and Dr. Heaven Sepulveda, for your commitment to Salt River Schools, and always prioritizing our students, families and the Community.

Salt River Schools, including all sites and programs will be closed Monday, June 15, in honor of SRPMIC DAY. As well as, Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. This includes, ECEC, SRES, and ALA.

SRPMIC offices will be closed on Monday, June 15, 2026, in observance of SRPMIC Day, and on Friday, June 19, 2026, for Juneteenth.

Essential services will remain operational. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, following SRPMIC Day, and on Monday, June 22, 2026, following Juneteenth.

The Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) will be offering FREE weekly summer meal packs for kids 18 years-old and under. Every Wednesday morning from June 3 - July 22, pick up a meal pack for your child (1 pack per child, per week) at Scottsdale Community College from 6:30-9:30AM. Each meal pack will include: 7 breakfast meals and 7 lunch meals. 🍽🍎☀

📍Where?
Scottsdale Community College (9000 E. Chaparral Rd.)
Drive-thru pick up site: Far East Parking Lot

📆When?
Every Wednesday from June 3 - July 22
6:30-9:30AM

🚗How does it work?
•Drive through once a week to pick up meals for each child
•Children do NOT need to be present
•No ID or income verification required
•Sign-up is required, but is fast and easy: scan the OR code here, or use your mobile device for sign-up during your first visit
•Meals are individually packaged
•Milk provided in half-gallon jugs
•One full 7-day meal pack per child per week
