Today is International Day of Charity! 💚

At ACFC, every act of generosity makes a difference. From donors and volunteers to community partners and supporters, our incredible community helps ensure Arizona families facing childhood cancer have access to the social, emotional, and financial support they need.

Today, we celebrate everyone who gives their time, resources, and heart to help our warriors and their families. We couldn’t do what we do without you!

Yes, September is our Style Issue. But it is also Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, so we’re showing you what is truly in style: strength 💛

Inside this issue, meet five incredible kids from Ava’s Treehouse. Operated by AZ Cancer Fdn. for Children, this 12,000-square-foot Scottsdale space gives kids facing cancer a place to play, create, connect and simply be kids while their families receive meaningful support.

Katie Wilson, owner of Garage Boutique Children’s Store, came to Ava’s Treehouse to style each child in a fit inspired by their favorite colors, interests and personality. Just wait until you see their solo pics! 🥰

Throughout the month, we’ll spotlight each of these dynamic children and share more from their photo shoot. And on November 6th, the community will come together for the Ava’s Treehouse Gala at The Phoenician, Scottsdale. Interested in joining us? Send us a DM.

We loved celebrating our July and August warriors at ACFC’s latest birthday party!🥳 Warrior families spent the afternoon enjoying lunch, cake, games, arts & crafts, and plenty of birthday presents together. Our birthday parties give families a chance to step away from appointments and treatment for an afternoon and celebrate the milestones that matter most.

Today kicks off the first day of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. 💛 At ACFC, we go gold for every warrior we have the privilege of serving, for the families standing beside them, and for every child facing a cancer diagnosis across Arizona.

This month, we’re proud to GO GOLD and help shine a light on pediatric cancer and the incredible warriors at the heart of everything we do.🤩

We’re excited to welcome Nadine Bubeck as the emcee of the 7th Annual Ava’s Tree House Gala!✨ A former TV news anchor, Nadine is a storyteller, community connector, and passionate advocate for meaningful causes throughout the Valley. She is the owner and publisher of Paradise Valley City Lifestyle and Scottsdale City Lifestyle and host of the Now with Nadine podcast.

Joining Nadine in making this year’s Gala possible are our incredible 2026 Gala Co-Chairs, Catherine Carrillo-Williams, Robyn Patterson, and Lisa Moore. We’re so grateful for their leadership and dedication to ACFC and the families we serve.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for AM Connect at ACFC! We were so excited to host the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce and welcome members of the local business community into our Resource Center for a morning of networking and connection.

More support. More healing. More hope. 💚 Since bringing counseling services in-house, we've been able to reach more children and caregivers than ever before, ensuring families have access to the emotional support they need throughout their childhood cancer journey.

Every counseling session is a safe space to process, heal, and remember that no family has to face this journey alone.
