Women's Christian Fellowship (WCF), one of three Women's Missionary Union (WMU) groups at Scottsville Baptist Church, chooses mission projects throughout the year. Today they presented stuffed animals to the Allen County Sheriff
s Department to have on hand for children who are involved in crisis situations.

***Fatal Collision***

In the early afternoon hours of 05/31/2026, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle collision near the 2200 Block of Barren River Dam Road involving a motorcycle.

Upon arrival, deputies found the operator of the motorcycle deceased due to injuries sustained from the collision.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased.

*** INVESTIGATION ***

On the morning of May, 5th 2026, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office was contacted in reference to grave sites that were damaged at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church (at the intersection of Old Gallatin Road and Kay Brown Road). Deputies observed several headstones in the cemetery that were intentionally damaged or disturbed.
