The Kentucky Soil Erosion and Water Quality Cost Share Program was created to help agricultural operations protect the soil and water resources of Kentucky and to implement their agricultural water quality plans. The program helps landowners address existing SOIL EROSION, WATER QUALITY and other ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS associated with their farming or woodland operation. Applications are taken on a continuous basis. The State Cost Share ranking deadline has been set by the Soil and Water Conservation Commission and applications received up until October 20th will be included in this funding cycle. After that date, any applications taken will be for the next round of cost share in the 2027-2028 funding cycle. If you have soil erosion or water quality problems and have questions about State Cost Share, contact the Allen County Conservation District at 270-237-3164.

The ACCD extends our deepest sympathies to the family of our beloved Board Member, Tommy Long. Tommy served on the Allen County Conservation District Board for 29 years and was the current Secretary. He had perfect attendance at board meetings for many years. He served Allen County in several roles over his lifetime and is loved and respected by the community. He will be dearly missed!

The ACCD will be giving away free tree seedlings Thursday, April 2nd, starting at 8:00am at our office at 77 Woodland Circle Drive. There will be Eastern Redbud, White Oak, Persimmon, Pecan, Flowering Dogwood, Paw Paw, Black Walnut, Sugar Maple, Northern Red Oak and White Pine.
