Happy back-to-school, ! 📕✏️

The school year may be starting, but summer isn’t over just yet! Select pools and splash pads will remain open through Labor Day. Visit Scranton Parks & Rec for the full schedule and hours. A huge thank-you to our Parks and Rec team, pool operators, and lifeguards for a safe and wonderful summer!

And don’t forget to save plenty of room for all the delicious food as La Festa celebrates its 50th anniversary next weekend! 🇮🇹

DPW crews were out today, helping to improve the walkways inside Nay Aug Park near the City's new pool and multicourt complex.

Classes in the Scranton School District begin Aug. 26 and at Scranton Preparatory School on Sept. 8.

Please be mindful of school buses and drive slowly in school zones this fall!

It’s Jazz Fest weekend in ! Head downtown Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for the 21st Annual Scranton Jazz Festival and enjoy a weekend of great live music throughout the city.

Today is also the last day for residents and businesses impacted by last week’s water main breaks to submit an intake form. The information collected will help us better understand the financial impact and explore potential relief.

We’re asking residents and business owners affected by the recent water main breaks to share how these disruptions have impacted them, including any economic losses or property damage.

The deadline to submit your response is Friday, August 7
