The Society for the Preservation of the Tripp Family Homestead (SPTFH) held a celebratory Open House to mark its 25th Anniversary on Sunday.
Exactly 25 years ago to the date, the SPTFH was formed and took over ownership and maintenance of the Tripp House from the Junior League of Scranton. The Tripp House remains the headquarters for the Junior League and is a beautifully stunning event space available for rental. The Tripp House is the oldest homestead in Lackawanna County, and was saved and restored by the Junior League.
About 35 community members and supporters gathered to see the Tripp House, enjoy each other's company, and listen to carols sung by the Choir of Mary Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary.
The SPTFH Board wishes to thank the Choir members, directed by Kimberly Gnall, for donating their Sunday afternoon.
