Join the Lackawanna County Children's Library on Saturday, June 6 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM to start your very own miniature scrapbooks to fill with your favorite memories we’ll make throughout the summer. We will have everything you need to decorate and design your perfect scrapbook, and we’ll even print your first picture to put in it!

We’ve hatched chickens, and we’ve hatched ducks. It is now time to hatch quail! Join the Lackawanna County Children's Library on Saturday, May 30 at 2:00 PM to set up our incubator for quail! Then, visit us throughout June to check on the incubator, and maybe even see them hatch!

The week is finally here! Swingin' on Vine is this Friday from 5-8 pm! Tickets can be purchased for $20 at the circulation desk or online at: https://events.eventgroove.com/event/Swingin-On-Vine-123293 Additionally, tickets will be sold for $25 each at the event.

In preparation for Swingin' on Vine, the library will be closing at 3:00 PM on Friday, May 22nd. The library will then remain closed through Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day. The library will reopen on Tuesday, May 26th at 9:00 AM with regular business hours.

We are so excited to announce The Whalemobile is coming to the Lackawanna County Children's Library! This 43-foot LIFE-SIZED inflatable humpback whalen named Nile is swimming to our library on June 13th from 2:00-4:00 PM. Come and meet Nile and see how fascinating humpback whales can be! We will take turns going inside the whale and talk about how we are similar and different. We will also be exploring real artifacts and learning how to protect the ocean! Space is limited and spots are filling fast!

Got books, movies, or other items to bring back? You can now drop them off at the Dunmore Community Center. The book drop is located at the back entrance of the center.
