Meet Maeve Rennard!! Maeve is heading into her senior year at Red Bank Catholic. She started out as a Junior Guard, then became a pool guard, and now guards on the the beach. Now she is finishing up her second summer as a beach guard, Maeve continues to be an awesome member of LBOR! maeve rennard

Earlier this month our lifeguards participated in a multi-agency drill with several other city agencies including the Long Branch Office of Emergency Management. The scenario involved simultaneous calls for late shift/after hours rescues. Great work to all lifeguards, firefighters and police officers who worked together to quickly handle the incident. Rapid response, effective communications, and multi-agency coordination play a vital role in emergency situations such as this. This was a great opportunity for our first responders to engage in a real-life scenario with multiple victims while keeping their skills sharp. Long Branch Ocean Rescue sent four lifeguards down to Fort Lauderdale, Florida for USLA Lifeguard Nationals. The whole country competes for three days every summer in all different lifeguard events. Monmouth County finished 3rd in the country this year. Our 4 lifeguards from Long Branch Ocean Rescue helped Monmouth County with 41 points.
