We would like to clarify that Rookie is not an official SIC Fire Department dog. Rookie belongs to one of our Firefighters and occasionally spends time at the station on Fridays.
We truly appreciate everyone who stops by to meet Rookie and visit with our on-duty crews. It's always great to see members of our community taking an interest in the fire department.

We simply wanted to clarify Rookie's role to avoid any confusion. While he's a friendly visitor and enjoys meeting everyone, he is not a department-owned or department-designated dog.

Thank you for your continued support of the SIC Fire Department. We look forward to seeing you around the station!

As temperatures rise and summer approaches, SIC Fire Department personnel are sharpening their lifesaving skills through water rescue training.

From swift-water techniques to victim recovery and rescue operations, our firefighters are preparing for the increased water-related emergencies that often accompany warmer weather. Continuous training ensures our team is ready to respond quickly, safely, and effectively when seconds matter most.

As you enjoy the waterways this summer, remember to practice water safety, wear life jackets when appropriate, and never underestimate the power of moving water.

We are excited to announce some progress on our new Sutphen!!! The Engine will be outfitted with 2000 gpm pump with cafs and 1000 gallons of water. The projected finish timeline is the end of August.
