Good morning! Dangerous heat is expected once again today. An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect for the coastal counties from 11 AM to 8 PM, while a Heat Advisory is in place for the remaining inland areas during the same timeframe. 🌡️🥵

That’s a wrap on Chow Town 2026! Thank you to all of our incredible local vendors who came out to our Seabrook Island food truck rodeos this summer. It was a great season for residents, visitors, and food trucks! ☀️

Charleston County Mosquito Control has scheduled a spray truck for Zone "K2," which includes the Town of Seabrook Island. The treatment is scheduled to take place during the overnight hours beginning after 11:00 PM on Tuesday July 28, and will be completed prior to 7:00 AM on Wednesday July 29 (weather permitting).

As a reminder, mosquito treatment requests may be submitted at any time through the town's website at: https://www.townofseabrookisland.org/mosquito-control.html.

A big congratulations to our town! 🏆 The Town of Seabrook Island received a Municipal Achievement Award for its Disaster Recovery Council. The town won in the 1,001 – 5,000 population category.

The Municipal Association of SC initiated the Achievement Awards in 1987 to recognize and encourage innovations and excellence in local government.

🐢 Protecting our shores, one nest at a time. The Seabrook Island Turtle Patrol, a dedicated team of 100+ volunteers working with SCDNR, safeguards sea turtles throughout nesting season (May 1–Oct. 31).

We’re proud to support their mission with an $800 Discretionary Grant for 2026. Thank you to every volunteer helping keep our beaches and wildlife thriving! 🐢🌊💚

The Town of Seabrook Island is preparing to celebrate America’s 250th Birthday! 🇺🇸

Did you know South Carolina played a pivotal role in the American Revolution? Our state witnessed more Revolutionary War engagements than any other, and the Battle of Sullivan’s Island on June 28, 1776 marked one of the first major victories for the Patriot cause.

Each year, Carolina Day honors that remarkable legacy. This year the celebration will be even more meaningful as its anniversary coincides with America’s 250th birthday.
