We’re changing things up for the month of August with two recap videos, the social media guy couldn’t decide which one he liked more, so you get both!

August was another busy month for the Seagoville Police Department.

We want to begin by extending a sincere thank you to our surrounding agencies who assisted us throughout the month:

Mesquite Police Department (K‑9 Unit / Patrol)

Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office

And our federal partners who responded to calls for service and conducted operations within the City of Seagoville throughout the month.

Your support and collaboration truly make a difference.

We also want to recognize our internal teams, Seagoville Dispatch and the Criminal Investigations Division. They work extremely hard behind the scenes, even if they never send us photos or videos of their work. Their dedication keeps everything running smoothly, and we appreciate them just as much as the officers you see in the videos.

The Seagoville Police Department is excited to announce our annual National Night Out event on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Bruce Central Park (1801 N. Hwy. 175, Seagoville, TX 75159).

This engaging evening offers a fantastic opportunity for our community to connect with local first responders and enjoy a fun-filled night. Get an up-close look at various emergency response vehicles, including police cars, fire trucks, and even a medical helicopter!

Families will find a wide variety of activities to enjoy, such as bounce houses, pumpkin painting, and exciting games. You'll have the chance to meet with local businesses, city council members, and the mayor.

National Night Out is an event we look forward to every year, as it's a vital part of building strong, positive relationships between our department and the wonderful citizens of Seagoville. We can't wait to see you there!

El Departamento de Policía de Seagoville se complace en anunciar nuestro evento anual National Night Out, que se llevará a cabo el martes 6 de octubre de 2026, de 6 PM a 8 PM, en Bruce Central Park (1801 N. Hwy. 175, Seagoville, TX 75159).

The Seagoville Police Department is holding a written and physical agility test on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at the Seagoville Police Department, located at 1185 East Simonds Road, Seagoville, Texas 75159.

Please complete and return the application/waiver by Wednesday, August 19th, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.

Completed applications must be submitted by one of the following methods:

July kept your Seagoville Police Department on the move! 🚔💨
From major incidents to everyday calls, our patrol officers, dispatchers, and Criminal Investigations Division were busy keeping Seagoville safe.

This month brought a little bit of everything:
• High‑risk callouts with the SRT Regional SWAT team after a vehicle pursuit turned into a barricaded subject
• Guns and drugs taken off your streets
• Stolen vehicles located and returned
• Burglaries, disturbances, and all the daily calls that keep us working around the clock.

Not every moment makes it online, but trust that your Seagoville Police Department is always out there doing the work by protecting the community day in and day out.

Your Seagoville Police Department Was Busy This July 4th Weekend!

Your Seagoville Police Department stayed hard at work throughout the July 4th holiday weekend, responding to calls all across the city, assisting our partners at the Seagoville Fire Department, and supporting neighboring agencies when they needed an extra hand.

We would’ve loved to capture more moments, but with the fast pace of calls, our priority was serving the community. Still, we managed to snag a few photos to give you a behind‑the‑scenes look at what the weekend looked like for our officers.

Also, big shoutout to Seagoville Dispatch, and Seagoville Citizens on Patrol for their hard work this weekend!

Friendly Reminder: Seagoville Noise Ordinance.

We’d like to remind everyone of the City of Seagoville’s noise ordinance.

The following is only an excerpt from the full ordinance, which is available on the City website:
"To create, make, cause, or allow to be made by any means any loud and disturbing noise which may disturb a reasonable person of normal sensitivity in the vicinity of any public or private place after 11:00 p.m. and before 6:00 a.m. is prohibited."

Please be mindful of your neighbors and help us keep Seagoville a peaceful community for all.

Obligatory holiday post one of two, as we head into the holiday celebrations, we’d like to remind everyone that fireworks are not permitted within the city limits of Seagoville. This helps us protect our community from fire hazards, noise concerns, and potential injuries.

If you plan to enjoy fireworks, please do so Friday night at the City Park.
