Dynamic Dragon Students and Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Seagoville High School!
Tomorrow, we begin another exciting year of learning, growth, and achievement!
We are asking every Dragon to walk through our doors with a great attitude, positive energy, and a commitment to making this a great year. We are excited to welcome our students back and want every Dragon to have a smooth and successful first day. Please review the important information below together as a family.
🐉 1. WHAT TO BRING ON THE FIRST DAY
Please keep Day 1 simple! Students should bring only a writing utensil and their Student ID. Students should arrive in dress code and on time.
Please do not bring a personal backpack or school supplies on the first day. Students will receive their Dallas ISD-provided backpack at school.
Families should review the 2026–2027 Dress Code before arrival. Please remember that prohibited items are subject to confiscation and parent pick-up.

⏰ 2. ARRIVAL: 8:40–9:00 AM
Students should arrive between 8:40 and 9:00 AM so they have time to pick up breakfast from the cafeteria and be in class by 9:10 AM.
Parent Drop-Off: Please use the front of the building off Seagoville Road.
Student Parking & Buses: Students who drive and buses will enter through the student parking lot. Parents may not enter the student parking lot from Stark Road for student drop-off.

🎒 3. DALLAS ISD BACKPACK & CELL PHONE POUCH
For the 2026–2027 school year, 100% of Seagoville High School students will receive and use the Dallas ISD-provided backpack with the attached cell phone pouch.
In alignment with HB 1481, students are expected to use the backpack and attached pouch daily.
When students enter the building tomorrow, their cell phones should remain put away in their pockets until they receive their backpacks during first period. Once backpacks are distributed, students will place their phones in the attached pouch.
Please remember: If a cell phone is out at any point after a student enters the building, it will be confiscated.
Students must bring their Dallas ISD backpack with the attached cell phone pouch every day. Keeping a phone in a pocket instead of using the pouch will not meet the expectation.
🪪 4. STUDENT IDs
Student IDs must be worn and visible at all times. IDs are also required to use the Securly Hall Pass system at Seagoville High School.
Students who have not yet been issued an ID will have an opportunity to receive one during the first two days of school. Students will be called by last-name groups. Until an ID is issued, students will still be permitted to transition through the hallways for safety and access.
💻 5. CHROMEBOOKS & CHARGERS
Students will receive their Chromebooks and chargers on Thursday and Friday. Once technology is distributed, students are expected to bring their Chromebook and charger to school every day in their Dallas ISD-provided backpack.
