🌧️ Tropical Depression Five Update

Tropical Depression Five is strengthening over the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to move toward the Upper Texas/Louisiana coast.

🌧️ Heavy rain, gusty winds, flooding, and coastal impacts are the main concerns. Conditions and the forecast track may change.

⚠️ If you're in the area, now is a good time to review your emergency plans and stay updated with the latest information from the National Hurricane Center and local weather officials.

💧 Water Maintenance Update

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during the scheduled water infrastructure maintenance.

The scheduled maintenance is now complete, and the City appreciates everyone’s help with water conservation during this time.

💦 Both splash pads will return to normal operating hours tomorrow.

Aa a reminder, the Jacqueline A. Cryan Memorial Park splash pad is open Tuesday through Sunday, 8:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

🚰 Water Pressure Advisory – Scheduled Maintenance

The City of Sealy expects low water pressure throughout the city on Saturday, August 22, and Sunday, August 23, 2026, due to scheduled maintenance.

💧 Water quality is not expected to be an issue. However, the City will follow all applicable TCEQ guidelines and will provide additional updates if needed.

As a precautionary measure, both City splash pads will be closed on Saturday, August 22, and Sunday, August 23. The splash pads will resume normal operations following the completion of the scheduled maintenance. This temporary closure is intended to help prevent further drops in water pressure during the maintenance period.

We ask residents to please be mindful of water usage during this time and, when possible, avoid activities that require extensive water use, such as watering lawns.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we complete this necessary maintenance. We appreciate your help in conserving water and helping us maintain adequate water pressure throughout the City.

Austin County is hosting a Hazardous Waste and Used Electronics Collection Day on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 8:00 AM to Noon at the Bellville Recycling Center.

This event is open to all Austin County residents and is a great opportunity to properly dispose of unwanted items while helping keep our community clean.

🚨 UPDATE: THE SPLASH PAD IS NOW OPEN! 🚨

The Irene LeBlanc Splash Pad is now OPEN following a temporary repair.

We ask that everyone please be mindful of the repaired area and help us preserve this community amenity. Parents and guardians are asked to closely supervise children while they enjoy the splash pad to help prevent further damage.

As we previously mentioned: If you see something, say something. If you notice vandalism, suspicious activity, or anything that could damage this community asset, please contact the Sealy Police Department.

🚨 Splash Pad Closure Notice 🚨

The Irene LeBlanc Splash Pad is closed until further notice pending completion of a police investigation for vandalism and temporary repairs.

A police report has been filed, and the City is actively assessing the damage so repairs can be made as quickly as possible.

The City of Sealy takes great pride in providing safe, enjoyable recreational facilities for our residents and visitors. Intentional damage to public property will not be tolerated. We appreciate the community's support in helping us protect these shared spaces. If you witness suspicious activity at any City park or facility, please report it to the Sealy Police Department, non-emergency 979-627-6140, immediately. As always, for emergencies dial 911.
