Students in Mrs. Reppenhagen's 7th grade Honors Science classes worked in jigsaw groups to learn about 6 different mountains around the world. The groups created posters to present their information to the rest of the class. Classes tracked patterns of mountain growth and movement, then compared the patterns to earthquake activity around the world. Next up: figuring out the tectonic plate motions that make it all possible!

🏈❤️ WHAT A WAY TO START THE SEASON! 🖤🏈
Our 8th Grade Cubs kicked off their football season Thursday night with a BIG win over Batesville — 28-0! 🎉
It was a great night under the lights with our players, cheerleaders, students, families, and fans showing their Cub pride! We loved seeing everyone come out to support our Cubs and help make the first game of the season one to remember.
Great job, Cubs! We’re excited for the season ahead! ❤️🖤

A BIG thank you to Temple Baptist Church for providing AJHS with a much-needed supply of Scotch tape! ❤️🖤
We use LOTS of tape around here—from classroom projects and interactive notebooks to all kinds of hands-on learning activities. It’s one of those everyday supplies that gets used more than you might think!

Students in Mrs. Glasser’s Physical Science class put collaboration into action with a jigsaw reading activity focused on the transfer of energy. Each student became an “expert” on their assigned paragraph before sharing what they learned with other members of their group. By teaching one another, students worked together to build a complete understanding of how energy is transferred.
