On February 14th, 2026, Local 2397 and Searcy Fire Department held the retirement event for member Captain Bryon Jones.

On behalf of the union and the entire department, we thank you for your sacrifice, your leadership, and your 20 years of service. Congratulations on a well-earned retirement. May this next chapter be filled with health, happiness, and time with the people who matter most.

This is why we “block” or “shield” accident scenes on roadways. Trust us, we know how aggravating it is because everyone is always in a hurry. If this engine would not have been in their defensive position, this semi would have more than likely ran into or through the existing accident they were protecting. When you see us out on the roadways, please slow down, we all want to protect our co workers, EMTs, Medics, and officers. We all want to go home to our families after shift.
