We picked Up because it's a story about found family: the people who show up for you, even when you're not related. Foster care IS a partnership with families. It ISN'T a rescue mission. When a child enters care, their parents are still their parents. Our resource families honor them with dignity and respect, without judging, and walk alongside them while they work their case plans. Want to learn what fostering really looks like? Please join us in congratulating Lexi on her new role as our Family Advocate! Many of you know Lexi as the warm welcome at our front desk, where she has served as our Program Assistant. Now she'll walk alongside parents here in White County as they work their case plans and build stable homes for their children to come home to. Lexi will also serve as our liaison with 100 Families and the 10:33 Initiative, connecting families with the support they need along the way. This is the heart of our mission: walking with families before, during, and after a hard season, and working toward the day children and parents are together again. We're grateful to have Lexi leading this work, and we hope you'll help us cheer her on.
