As we close out 2018, it might be of interest to look back 50 years to 1968. The harbor as it looked back then. Our industrial waterfront. Foreground is Maplewood Poultry, then sardine cannery, railroad and then the grain mill at the foot of Main Street. And, of course- the tugboats. The broken pier was built by the Coe-Mortimer fertilizer company in the early 1900s.
