On August 22nd, 2026 the Seaside Park Police Department welcomed their very first “Chief of the day”, Chief Sophia.

Chief Sophia started her morning off with a fresh batch of delicious donuts before attending to her new duties as Chief. Chief sophia spent the day inspecting vehicles and equipment, completing officer reviews and had a ride along with the Seaside Park Fire Department.

Chief Sophia completed her day with a thorough inspection of the arcade and games and tested out some “suspicious” ice cream. The Seaside Park Police Department thanks Chief Sophia for her service and hopes to see her again soon!

“Chief of the Day” allows us to interact with our residents and children, meeting officers and showing them how the first responders operate in Seaside Park.

The Seaside Park Police Department would like to extend our thanks to our residents. In the early 90s, an anonymous vest fund was created by several residents in support of our police department. This year our officers were gifted with trauma kits which provide specialized, life saving gear to treat critical injuries. We sincerely appreciate your continued support!
