We are very sad our Fourth of July event is not happening this year, but it is still important to save the fireworks for the professionals. PLEASE do not light fireworks at home.

To be eligible:
-Must call & report fireworks that result in citation.
-Must be willing to sign declaration and/or be willing to give testimony at hearing.
-Only Seaside Residents are eligible (No full-time or on-duty City staff).
-Limit 5 rewards per resident.

The City Council held a special meeting last night & adopted an urgency ordinance restricting fireworks during certain hours of the day. They also added a rewards program for community members that assist with fireworks enforcement.

REGULATIONS OF THE PARK IN ADDITION TO THE FOLLOWING
GUIDELINES FOR #HEALTH AND #SAFETY TO LIMIT THE SPREAD OF
COVID-19.

Skate Park Capacity: 15

- Skate park users, must comply with current rules and regulations of the park in addition to the following guidelines for health and safety to limit the spread of COVID-19.

- You cannot have any Symptoms of COVID-19 (Fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, etc)

- Maintain 6ft of physical distance at all times.

- All skate park users must have their own equipment.

- Wash or sanitize your hands before using the skate park, and frequently during use.

- Avoid touching your face at all times/ Avoid contact with other skate park users.

- All skate park users 13 years of age or older must wear a face covering when maintaining 6ft physical distance is not possible.

- Spectators are not permitted at the skate park. If adult supervision is needed, the supervising adult should remain in their vehicle if possible or at a safe distance outside the park with a clear view of the park, and a face covering must be worn.

- No congregating or gathering is permitted during or once skate session is completed. Once skate session is completed, depart immediately following use.

- Skate Park users should limit skating sessions to an hour or less, so other users have an opportunity to enjoy the park

Failure to Comply May Result it Future Closure. Thank you for your compliance!

Check this out! Every Wednesday (starting tomorrow) Friends of the Seaside Library will be distributing FREE grab & go meals and summer reading activities for youth (age 18 & under). Starting at 11 AM at 550 Harcourt Ave. Tag a friend!

Come with your children to pick up goodies from the library. The event will be held outside and we will make sure to make it safe. Even though we will not see our faces (masks are mandatory) it will be a joyful beginning of summer for all of us. Please share with your local families with kids.
