From growing up as a CPY student to graduating from San Francisco State University!

Watching our students grow and achieve their dreams is one of the greatest joys of CPY. Congratulations, Raquel! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what comes next. βœ¨πŸŽ‰

Making crafts with Ms. Mariana has been such a fun experience for our students! Her creativity is endless. She can turn just about anything into something awesome.

Most importantly, CPY students love creating alongside her, using their imaginations, trying new ideas, and having fun bringing their projects to life together. πŸ˜ƒ

We want to give a huge thank you to Arts Council for Monterey County for supporting CPY and the students we serve.

Because of their generosity, our students have access to creative opportunities that encourage self expression, confidence, and connection. Art has always been a powerful tool for healing, and we are grateful to continue creating spaces where young people can explore, learn, and grow.

Thank you, Arts Council for Monterey County, for helping make these experiences possible. 🎨✨

As the school year begins to come to an end, our CPY students are making the most of every moment together. From getting crafty to enjoying time playing outside. πŸβ˜€πŸŽ¨

We’ve also been having fun helping keep our campus clean alongside our amazing Planet Rangers! Through teamwork and care for our space, students are learning the importance of giving back and taking pride in our community.

These are the moments that build friendships, laughter, and everlasting memories. β˜€οΈπŸŽ¨πŸŒΏ

The Sea Star Horse Sanctuary is always an experience!
Recently, students had the chance to sit on Stuey and go for a guided ride.

Afterward, everyone shared how they were able to overcome their fear, build confidence, and learn that it’s okay to let go and just feel.

April 30, 1991, Ramon Avila was shot and killed in an alleged drug deal. This amazing scholar and athlete's life has not been in vain. CPY was created to provide positive alternatives to drugs, gangs, and violence. 35 years ago, Ramon's life was short, but many lives have turned around because the community came together to make a difference. Join us in remembering Ramon !❀

We are incredibly grateful for all the volunteers who show up and support CPY πŸ™Œ Plumeria Papercraft

From CSUMB service learning and College Corps students, MSW interns, International School of Monterey students, our partners at Sea Star Horse Sanctuary, and Ms. Lisa from Plumeria Paper Crafts, who all work with our youth on a weekly basis. Your consistency and presence continue to build meaningful relationships and make a lasting impact. πŸ’š

We also want to thank Stevenson School and our CPY Board of Directors for their continued support!

Volunteering helps build community and teaches the importance of giving back. These shared moments create connection, purpose, and lasting impact for everyone involved.

Thank you for showing up for our youth πŸ’›

Over the weekend, CPY volunteered at the Big Sur Marathon, supporting the Green Team during the expo and waking up early on Sunday to help run an aid station along the course πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

We handed out water and electrolytes to runners as they passed by. It was a great experience being out there supporting and cheering everyone on!

We are grateful to be part of such an inspiring event and to show up for our community πŸ™Œ
