The Presidio of Monterey Housing Division is part of the Directorate of Public Works. This Division provides three core fuctions: the Housing Services Office (HSO), the Residential Communities Initiative (RCI), and Unaccompained Personnel Housing (Barracks Management)

The HSO should be your first stop for everything housing related. This office will provide you with in-processing information and

assist with finding your family housing. Per DOD guidelines and local Command Policy: All Active Duty Service Members reporting to the Monterey Bay area are required to check in with the Monterey Bay Housing Services Office. RCI serves as the Army's liasion with the privatiized military housing, The Parks at Monterey Bay. Unaccompained Personnel Housing assist with the Barracks/Dorms for single Active Duty Military Personnel assigned to the Defense Language Insitute
