Leave the fireworks to the professionals! 🎆

While we celebrate our nation’s independence, please remember that all consumer fireworks, including sparklers, firecrackers, and roman candles, are 100% ILLEGAL to possess, ignite, or sell in the City of Seat Pleasant and throughout Prince George’s County.

Illegal fireworks create a significant risk of severe injuries, cause intense distress for neighbors experiencing PTSD or sensory sensitivities, terrify pets, and create immediate fire hazards for homes.

See or hear illegal fireworks? Report it.
Non-Emergency Dispatch (PGPD): 301-352-1200. In case of an emergency or fire, always dial 9-1-1.

Drums please! 🥁

Our PAL youth got a masterclass in Djembe drumming thanks to Keyonte, an amazing graduating senior from Bishop McNamara! By the end of the evening everyone was playing like a pro!

Thank you, Keyonte, and great job PAL youth!

National Police Week 2026!

This week is a dedicated time to honor the brave men and women of law enforcement who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. It’s a period of reflection, unity, and gratitude for those who serve and protect our communities every day.

We started the day by supporting the riders in the Police Unity Tour as they rode from New Jersey to Washington, DC to ensure that the fallen are never forgotten.

We wrapped up the day with a well-deserved appreciation cookout for our officers!
