All City of Seat Pleasant Offices will be closed on Monday, September 7th, 2026.

Waste Collection will resume on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026.

COOLING BUSES AVAILABLE

Due to the ongoing power outage, cooling buses are available for residents who need relief from the heat. Thank you to Prince George’s County Executive’s Office for quickly mobilizing to support the residents of Seat Pleasant.

Residents are encouraged to monitor the Smart Seat Pleasant app and the City’s official social media channels for the latest updates.

Grab your backpack and join us at Goodwin Park for an afternoon of fun, food, and school-year preparation!

We’ll fill your backpack with school supplies to help you start the new year ready to learn.

Enjoy popcorn 🍿 and an exciting after-school snack demonstration by Chef Nikk! 👩🏾‍🍳

Then, settle in for an outdoor movie screening of Charlotte’s Web! 🕷️🐷 Bring a blanket or lawn chair!

Join the City of Seat Pleasant for Read, Set, Go!, a free, family-friendly back-to-school celebration and the closing event for the e3 Learning Lab summer pilot.

Bring your backpack and fill it with school supplies while supplies last. Families can also enjoy face painting, community resources, playground fun, free popcorn, an after-school snack demonstration, a reading and learning commitment activity, and an outdoor screening of Charlotte’s Web.

Acompaña a la Ciudad de Seat Pleasant en ¡Leer, Preparados, Ya!, una celebración gratuita y familiar de regreso a clases y el evento de cierre del programa piloto de verano del Laboratorio de Aprendizaje e3.

Trae tu mochila y llénala con útiles escolares hasta agotar existencias.
