Refugees NW has provided services since 1975 under Lutheran Community Services NW. We believe people fleeing war and persecution can heal and contribute.

Our Refugees Northwest Foster Care, Lutheran Community Services NW program is seeking licensed foster parents and affordable rooms to rent (host homes) for refugee and immigrant teenagers in King County, south Snohomish County, and north Pierce County.

Through our Unaccompanied Refugee Minor (URM) program, young people receive safe housing, caring support, and resources to help them build a future. By opening your home, you can help a young person feel welcomed, supported, and connected to their community.

LCSNW partners with a community of caregivers to welcome and support refugee and immigrant youth through our Unaccompanied Refugee Minor (URM) program.

Our Behavioral Health Services team provides compassionate, culturally responsive counseling for children, adults and families. We also provide telehealth therapy by phone or video, making it easier to get support wherever you are. We accept Medicaid and private insurance.

Language shouldn’t be a barrier to care — our clinicians currently provide services in Arabic, Dari, Ukrainian, Russian, and English.

⚠️ Apple Health changes may affect some refugees, asylees and other immigrants in Washington State.

Beginning October 1, 2026, changes to Apple Health may affect your coverage. If you received a notice that your Apple Health is ending, don’t ignore it.

You may still qualify for other health coverage or assistance programs — but losing Apple Health does not automatically mean you qualify for another free health insurance program. Every person’s situation is different.

Our Familias Unidas & Everett Community Resource Center will be hosting the Lahai Health Clinic Thursday, October 8. Lahai Health will be offering medical services focused on blood glucose and high blood pressure screenings. Screenings are available to anyone 18 and over.

These groups of adult noncitizens will no longer qualify for Apple Health coverage:
• Refugees and asylum seekers
• Victims of domestic violence or human trafficking
