When in-person ESL classes have long waitlists, creating welcoming spaces to practice English and build confidence matters.

Our Refugee and Immigrant Services team, in partnership with volunteers from Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Mercer Island, created an intimate English conversation group for Afghan women to share their stories and culture, practice English, connect with American women, and strengthen their sense of belonging in the community. We recently celebrated the end of our first quarter with gift cards for our participants!

We provide the space; they bring their voices, stories, and courage.💜

Our Refugee and Immigrant Services team was happy to be part of Seattle Municipal Court's Community Resource Day at the Rainier Community Center today! 💙

It was a great opportunity to connect with community members, share information, and help families access valuable resources and services.

We will have a special guest from the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries, who will provide general information, answer questions, and offer guidance on workplace protections. This presentation will be in English and Spanish!

Join us TOMORROW, Thursday, August 13 for our SeaTac Back-to-School Resource Fair! We're excited to once again partner with the City of SeaTac - Government, Rotary Club of SeaTac-Tukwila, Molina Healthcare, and Highline Public Schools to help students get ready for a successful school year.

SeaTac residents/students can receive backpacks, school supplies, snacks, and community resources. Supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Our Behavioral Health Services team provides compassionate, culturally responsive counseling for adults. We also provide telehealth therapy by phone or video, making it easier to get support wherever you are. We accept Medicaid and private insurance. 💜

Language shouldn’t be a barrier to care — our clinicians currently provide services in Arabic, Dari, Ukrainian, Russian, and English.

Last week our Refugee and Immigrant Services team partnered with Chase Bank to host a workshop on banking, fraud prevention, and financial safety. Participating families also received backpacks and school supplies, generously provided by Chase Bank.

In partnership with Kambo Energy, our Refugee and Immigrant Services team hosted an engaging Energy Saving Workshop, where community members learned practical ways to reduce energy use, lower utility bills, and access valuable energy resources.

To top it off, attendees received fun Seattle City Light swag! Thank you to everyone who joined us in building a more energy-efficient future.
