The Port of Seattle Fire Department was established in 1955 with only three apparatus and 13 firefighters. Local 1257 Firefighters is a 100% union organization and celebrated 50 continuous years with the International Association of Firefighters in 2006. We provide ARFF, structural firefighting, EMS, fire prevention, hazardous materials, and rescue response within the geographical boundaries of Se
attle-Tacoma International Airport, as well as south King County through mutual aid agreements. We take tremendous pride in our duties and are very proud to have one of the most successful save rates for cardiac arrest in the country.
