🚁 Mark your calendars! Seaton Fire and the University of Iowa are bringing AirCare training to Seaton on June 13.

We've got a hands-on pilot communication training (landing zone setup, comms, the whole deal) plus a medical training based on farm rescue that qualifies for firefighter CE credits.

⚠️ WEATHER ALERT – SEATON, IL AREA ⚠️

We are watching a serious round of storms moving in today (Friday, April 17).

What to expect:
• Enhanced risk (3/5) for severe weather
• Damaging winds 70+ mph possible
• Tornadoes possible
• Heavy rain + flash flooding risk
• Storms likely this afternoon into tonight (1–10 PM)

This system is part of a larger severe weather setup across Illinois and the Midwest, with wind and tornadoes being the main concerns.

🚨 PLEASE BE PREPARED:
• Have multiple ways to get weather alerts (phone, radio, etc.)
• Know where you’ll take shelter before storms hit
• Secure anything outside that could blow around
• Never drive through flooded roads

We’ll be monitoring conditions closely. If storms intensify, things can change fast. Don’t wait until the last minute to get to safety.

We’ve got a couple rounds of storms moving in, starting this afternoon and sticking around into Friday.

What to expect:
• Storms this afternoon into evening (roughly 2–8 PM)
• Moving fast
• Could pack a punch

Main concerns:
🌪 Possible tornadoes
💨 Strong winds
🧊 Hail

It’s also going to be windy even outside of storms, and we could see a few inches of rain by Saturday.

Do us a favor:
• Keep alerts on today
• Pay attention this afternoon/evening
• Have a plan if warnings pop up

We’ll be watching things closely and are ready if needed.
