The survey ends tomorrow and we've got some really great feedback so far! We were a bit surprised at some of the answers, but I can definitely tell you that boredom seems to be the biggest concern of our survey takers.

We've been thinking of next steps, and I think we have an interesting solution that will help both the individuals and the businesses. Will share more this weekend!

Historical numbers came out of the Department of Labor today. In one week alone 3.3M people across many industries filed for unemployment. Some of the largest hit were our small businesses, including restaurants, bars, travel & hospitality, and even startups. This is - and as small business owners ourselves, we understand the struggle. Big Update!

Tribe was forged during the months following the COVID-19 outbreak as a way to help local businesses and individuals cope with lost income. Since March, our goal has always been to do our part in helping those who need it - and in May we plan to launch an innovative new approach to local commerce by unveiling TribeNow.

TribeNow is the evolution of the #TribeNow Project that we started in April - an extensive survey shared with hundreds of people in the Puget Sound Region. The survey gave us a direct line of communication to the people in need of assistance, and in turn, their responses unearthed valuable insight into the most effective methods of meeting their needs. Providing us with confidence in our strategy for helping individuals stuck at home, as well as the local businesses facing permanent closure.

When provided with the options below for the question, “What is it you most need right now?”, we were surprised to see, “a cure to boredom,” as the top response.

In addition to individual replies, the following results from polled businesses were hugely influential in our decision to take TribeNow in a new direction that better addressed the concerns we discovered.
