Working people across every sector – in union- and non-union workplaces alike – face stagnant wages, rising costs, dangerous conditions, union-busting, and an economy rigged to funnel wealth upward while leaving workers without dignity or security. The right to organize, bargain collectively, and strike are fundamental workers’ rights that are under coordinated attack at every level of government, and weakening unions weakens the power of all working people!

Seattle’s May Day 2026 march & rally calls for Workers Not Billionaires, carrying on the proud history of a day born from the labor struggles of working people.

As we have all been reading and watching, the current administration’s immigration policies pose a serious threat to immigrant domestic workers, their families, and communities, making it overwhelming to know where to direct our energy as more bad news emerges each day. For many immigrants—our neighbors, classmates, co-workers, and the people who work in our homes—this is an especially terrifying and destabilizing moment, with some too afraid to attend Know Your Rights workshops and unsure if they will return home from a day's work for fear of being targeted by immigration enforcement. As many of us are employers of domestic workers, we have a unique opportunity to offer direct support to targeted community members. create a safe space for sharing vital information. By committing to making our homes Sanctuary Homes, we can help foster safety, dignity, and justice for immigrant domestic workers during this critical moment.

In this virtual training, we’ll cover:

- Understanding Sanctuary Homes & Immigrant Rights
- Building Trust & Fair Employment Practices for Domestic Worker Employers
- How to Offer Concrete Support & Create Emergency Plans
- Practical Support Strategies

Have you been witnessing the barrage of economic and political tactics to deprive and suppress the people? Do you have a nagging feeling that your white privilege is actually harming you? Are your close ones becoming more involved and asking you to step up, too?

Cohorts are a way for white-identifying people to deepen community by building a shared analysis of the mounting problems. Participants and facilitators help each other stay supported and accountable in our actions. Each session includes readings/videos, discussions, and actions to take together.

Don’t let this colonialist system convince you that you’re better off distracted by comfy isolation.

👕 Apparel (new, adult sizes S-XL): socks, underwear, coats, sweatshirts, tees, sweatpants, leggings
🥣 Pantry items: canned soup, hot/cold cereals, peanut butter, jelly, canned tuna/salmon, rice, bread, juice, pasta & sauce, mac & cheese

⭐ Drop off donations at Washington Hall (153 14th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122) M-F, 8am-2pm. Can’t make it? Drop off with a CARW member—message us for address. 📍Too busy to shop? Venmo "Katya-Wilson-77" with “CJ Mutual Aid Drive” in the comments, and we’ll shop for you!
