đź’ˇBig ideas start with bold opportunities.

Thirty-six girls from Eckstein Middle School stepped into a world of possibility during an IGNITE Worldwide field trip, exploring what their futures in STEM could look like.

At Slalom, students went behind the scenes of a real tech workplace, connected with women in STEM, and jumped into a hands-on challenge using AI to design an app that creates music playlists based on mood. 🎧🤖

It wasn’t just about technology, it was about seeing themselves as innovators, problem-solvers, and future leaders.

🌲Fresh air, new perspectives, and a little bit of magic in the woods.

Lowell Elementary’s annual IslandWood trip gives 5th graders the chance to explore, connect, and discover who they’re becoming, one trail at a time.

With support from the community, every student had the opportunity to learn outdoors this year, building confidence, curiosity, and friendships that go beyond language and classroom walls.

Because sometimes the best learning happens outside. 🌻

🌱 Big ideas. Bold leadership. Real impact.

At Nathan Hale High School, students didn’t just celebrate Earth Day, they led it. 💚

The school’s annual Climate Day of Action brought together students, alumni, and community leaders for a full day of workshops, discussion, and action focused on climate solutions.

From agriculture to activism, learners explored real-world challenges and discovered how their voices and their actions can shape a better future.

In this week’s Superintendent’s Newsletter, we're invited to pause, reflect, and celebrate what brings our community together.

Superintendent Shuldiner shares a heartfelt message honoring those we remembered on Memorial Day and extends warm wishes to families celebrating Eid al-Adha, a powerful reminder of sacrifice, compassion, and showing up for one another.

We’re also celebrating Arts Education Month with incredible performances and student creativity across SPS.

Take a moment to read the stories, watch the videos, and see the joy, talent, and connection happening across our schools.

Who says family engagement can’t be a PARTY? 🎉

Washington Middle School turned feedback into action with their first-ever Family Fun Fest, and the results were incredible:
✨ 500+ attendees
✨ Slime experiments & sensory stations
✨ Lotería, mindfulness, a World’s Fair, and more!

Families connected, students led the way, and the whole school community came together in a joyful, welcoming space.

Safe to say, this one filled a lot of cups!

💡 The goal? Not just learning science—but experiencing it.
đź’™ The impact? Students seeing themselves as scientists, engineers, and innovators.

Programs like MESA are opening doors and expanding what’s possible for students, one hands-on experience at a time.
