Central Area Development Association (CADA) CADA was created to revitalize the Central Area neighborhood of Seattle. Its initial efforts focus on the 23rd & Jackson business node.

To acheive its misssion CADA creates affordable housing, develops real estate, fosters business development and supports community building activities.

The Seattle Foundation's GiveBIG event is today! This event is a BIG deal for nonprofits like CADA. GiveBIG is a community-wide giving challenge to raise millions of dollars for local nonprofit organizations. And Yes, we are asking you to GiveBIG for CADA today! The Promenade 23 Shopping Center sells. The sale means CADA is no longer an investment partner in Promenade 23 Associates. Still holding community interest, CADA reaches out to the new owner, Weingarten Realty.

Mayor Mike McGinn will join neighborhood business district leaders and local business owners in Seattle’s Central Area today to announce the City’s 2011 investment in 16 neighborhood business districts as a part of the Seattle Jobs Plan, $1 Million.
