Do you want to help but don't know where to start? Tenant Law Center is facing major funding cuts for the first time since 2020. This is happening while we have all time record evictions. Help us keep vulnerable folks from being evicted for dumb reasons.

Once a person experiences an eviction, that stays on their record, making it almost impossible for them to get another apartment.

Veterans especially right now are extremely vulnerable as the programs that support them are being cut by the president.

$5 adds up to really important work here. Please help if you can.

Join us tomorrow. Are you a renter living in a building owned by the King County Housing Authority, or do you have a Housing Choice Voucher issued by KCHA? We want to hear from you!

Tenant organizations and attorneys, including Northwest Justice Project, Tenant Law Center, Be:Seattle, Eastside Legal Assistance Program, and Tenant Organizers and Advocates (TOA), have been collaborating to hold housing authorities accountable, address ongoing issues, and advocate for changes that improve renters' living conditions.

We are hosting an online listening session for KCHA tenants to share their experiences, get connected to resources, and help shape the concerns and priorities we bring to KCHA. This is part of our ongoing effort to ensure tenant voices are centered and reflected in housing policies and practices. Are you facing challenges with your housing? Want to share your experiences and help push for real change?

Join our online listening session to connect with advocates, access resources, and make your voice heard!

🔹 When: Wednesday February 19th at 10:00 am

Beginning Sept. 1, 2024, the King County Tenant Resource Line will operate Tuesday-Thursday, 10a-1p.

Unfortunately, until we receive funding from the county, or any of the non-Seattle cities, to take cases outside of Seattle, we remain very, very limited in our ability to offer anything beyond information, resources, and legal advice to non-Seattle tenants.

If you'd like to ask your council member to ensure county tenants get the help they deserve, look them up here: https://kingcounty.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=4412d015887a42fbb271be454852a15f
